Coordinator, Information Technology Programs

Position Purpose
Coordinate the development, training, direction, and coordination of the Information Technology programs located on the Riverside Campus. Provide oversight of the program requirements to ensure accreditation is met and maintained.
Customarily and regularly manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of TTC, including: directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for promotion and termination actions, and hiring as appropriate.
Develop and maintain a working relationship with the IT Advisory Council, all relevant advisory committees and groups; coordinate all aspects of district policies. Work with the admissions department, district registrar and bursar as needed for student enrollments.
Develop and maintain database of industry representatives; recruit and maintain relationships with IT businesses in providing opportunities for work-based experiences for students.
Oversee and monitor work based experience internships, providing guidance and intervention as necessary; assist business partners with requirements, permitting and legal compliance for student interns.
Provide communication and information to students, parents, instructors, administrators, industry and educational partners in order to enhance the understanding and participation in District Information Technology programs.
Maintain student records; prepare and submit reports as appropriate or as required by the Board of Education, and the Oklahoma Department of Career Tech.
Provide leadership in District awareness and recruiting efforts, coordinating parent orientation, intern selection, recognition, graduation, and program exit activities.
Develop and implement plans encouraging student participation in skill and leadership activities at the District, State and National levels; to participate in their chosen CTSO organization.
Attend and participate in District, State and National training conferences and in other programs relevant to professional development and the advancement of the District Information Technology programs.; attend industry related training to maintain currency in equipment and software knowledge.
Provide classroom instruction in situations where coverage is needed within the Information Technology program as directed by Campus Administration.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions regarding the provision of services to internal and external customers and in day-to-day operations of the department. Interpret and implement policies in a manner consistent with the interests of the District. Provide advice and consultation to executive management as requested. Investigate and resolve issues as needed, represent the department and District in a professional manner to all.
Position Requirements
This position requires a minimum of five (5) years' experience as an educator with demonstrated leadership responsibilities, which include;
Lead role/participant in committees/teams and/or special projects/assignments
Mentoring other teachers
Lead role/participant in Career Tech Student Organizations (CTSO)
Knowledge of IT and current Information Technology industry guidelines
OK Standard Teaching Certification with CareerTech Trade and Industrial or CareerTech Business endorsement is required.
Must have or be willing to begin the process to obtain (within the first year in the position) Oklahoma Department of Career & Technology Education Administrator certificate.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
