Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for managing 2-5 managers directly and 90-120 collectors indirectly.

  • Requires great attention to detail to ensure workloads are properly distributed, training is conducted, and client and company goals are achieved or exceeded in all areas of responsibility.

  • Must be well-versed in applicable laws, regulations and statutes to ensure 100% compliance and to hold all personnel accountable to those requirements and objectives.

  • Conducts formal monthly reviews in addition to providing ad hoc feedback.

  • Holds managers accountable for conducting reviews on the collection staff and ensures that positive discipline procedures are followed.

  • Client interaction and reporting.

  • Reports information regarding management staff, collection staff and client-specific information to the Department Head (Vice President). This information may be relayed formally or informally, in writing or verbally, or any combination thereof as circumstances dictate.

  • Interviews, selects, and trains employees.

  • Plans, delegates, and directs the work of employees.

  • Understands policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all direct reports and others as needed.

  • Assesses the productivity and efficiency of employees for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in their status.

  • Disciplines employees.

  • Maintains production or sales records for use in supervision or control.

  • Monitors and implements legal compliance measures as directed by the Compliance Department or other authority.


Requirements:



  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a collection manager is required, in addition to a 2-year minimum requirement at a secondary management level.

  • Education: Degree preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Working Hours: 2 late nights (11am - 9PM), and three morning schedules per week. Every other Saturday and any additional hours as necessary to perform your administrative and management duties at a satisfactory level of performance. Generally, the position requires 50+ hours per week.

  • Other Requirements: High Energy. Excellent verbal and written skills are required. Excel and other Office Products experience. The candidate must be able to motivate, train and discipline staff at all levels that may report to that position.

  • Department of Education experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
