Summary:
The SVP, Bank Operations is responsible for developing and leading the implementation of operational controls and process improvements, creates operations policies and procedures, designs testing requirements, encourages cross-functionality among departments, and provides strong communication that ensures the success of bank operations.
SVP, Bank Operations ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):
Develops and oversees the implementation of sound operational controls, process improvements, and increased efficiencies utilizing the latest in technology.
Creates operations policies and procedures, and ensures they are implemented and executed consistently on a daily basis.
Expertly designs, tests, and directs the deployment of new and enhanced processes to align with business objectives.
Establishes operational performance metrics and creates a roadmap to navigate the successful implementation of process improvements that drive operational excellence.
Provides leadership to encourage cross-functionality that drives results.
Leads cross-departmental communications where process improvements and new processes positively impact stakeholders outside of Bank Operations, including Compliance, Risk Management, Retail Banking, Credit and Lending lines of business.
Develops and builds positive relationships with key stakeholders; includes collaboration with leaders and departments to ensure delivery of commitments.
Devises and implements strong change management controls.
Oversees compliance and audit standards across operational units; includes the management of business risk in accordance with company policies.
Participates in the department hiring, promotion, and review process while managing, mentoring and improving support staff performance.
Coaches and develops team to ensure we are meeting the needs of the company.
Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department.
Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Extensive knowledge of core banking systems and loan and deposit operations.
Strong leadership skills to drive, influence and motivate a team in delivery of process improvement initiatives.
Ability to implement change management.
Possesses thought leadership and understanding of tactics to drive business results.
Ability to create positive relationships with leaders of all lines of business.
Excellent communication skills with personnel at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical, organizations, and problem solving skills to evolve strategy recommendations based on trends.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and third-party relationships.
